Is this real silk?
No. Satin describes the weave rather than the fibre. Our mulberry silk dressing gown is the real thing and costs a great deal more.

How does it stay closed?
There are two ties. One is inside at the waist and ties before you wrap the front across, and the outer belt goes over the top. It is a much more secure closure than a single belt.

Rarely. If you iron it, keep the setting cool and work on the reverse, because a hot iron marks satin permanently.

Give the black its own first wash. The white and pink are stable.

Satin can pill where it rubs, usually under an arm or a bag strap. Cool washing prevents most of it.

It can, on rings and rough nails, as any smooth woven fabric does.

Satin is a weave, not a fibre, so a satin robe can be made of almost anything.
