Silky jammies
Whatever you call them, there are two kinds and the difference is worth knowing.
Silky jammies come in two forms, and shops are not always straight about which one they are selling you. Real silk is a natural fibre spun by silkworms. Satin is a weave, usually polyester, that copies the smooth surface and the sheen at a much lower price.

The silk ones
A long women's mulberry silk pyjama set in four colours, a camisole and shorts set for summer, a men's silk pyjama set at 16 momme, and silk dressing gowns for both. Prices run from €139 to €239. They breathe, they move moisture instead of holding it, and with cold washing they last years.
The satin ones
Satin pyjama sets from €49 to €69: short sleeved with shorts for summer, long sleeved for winter, and robes in both ranges. The women's summer set is a viscose satin, which breathes better than the polyester used in most satin sleepwear. The rest is polyester, and the pages say so.
How to choose
If you wake up too warm, buy silk. That is the difference you will actually notice, and no satin at any price fixes it. If you want the look for a fifth of the money and you sleep cool anyway, satin is a sensible buy and we would rather sell you the right one than the expensive one.
Common questions
Are silky jammies the same as silk pyjamas?
Only if they are actually made of silk. A lot of what is sold as silky is satin, which is a weave rather than a fibre. Check the specification rather than the product name, here and anywhere else.
How can I tell silk from satin?
The price is the biggest tell: real silk sleepwear costs several times what satin does. On our pages, the material line and the momme weight tell you outright.
Which is cooler to sleep in?
Silk, by a clear margin. It moves moisture away and sits near your own temperature. Polyester satin traps warmth against you.
Are they machine washable?
Both are, cold and gentle. Silk wants a silk detergent, no bleach and no tumble drying. Satin is more forgiving but still dislikes heat.
Do you sell them for men?
Yes, in both fabrics: silk and satin pyjama sets, robes and silk boxer shorts, all in the men's section.
What is the cheapest way in?
The satin negligee at €49 or a satin pyjama set at €69. If you want to try real silk without spending much, a silk eye mask or a silk pillowcase is the usual first purchase.
Do they come as a gift?
Most of the range ships in standard packaging. The women's silk dressing gown arrives in a gift box, and embroidery is available at €11 per piece on the same order.
What sizes are there?
It varies by line and each page states its own range. Some listings sell a single size, and where the supplier's measurements are not published we say so on the page.
Will they make my hair or skin better?
Silk is smoother than cotton so it catches less. That is a real and modest difference and it is all we will claim. There is no anti-ageing or medical benefit here.
How much is delivery?
Free over €75, otherwise a flat €25. Allow 5 to 7 days across Europe.

Yes, 14 days from delivery under EU consumer law, unworn and in resaleable condition.
